No soil, no season, no compromise.
Pakistan's first women-led aeroponic farm, in Dhabeji, Sindh.
We grow in air, not in earth.
Aeroponics, simply put: the roots hang in the air of a sealed room and are fed by a fine mist of water and nutrients, on a timer. Leaves and fruit grow above, under LED light.
- Light from aboveLEDs give the plants their day, whatever the weather outside.
- Roots in airNo soil, so there is nothing for pests to live in.
- Mist on a timerWhat the roots do not take is collected and used again.
It starts long before the plant does.
Our plants are not raised from runners bought in a sack. Each one is grown by tissue culture from a few cells of clean mother stock, so every plant starts the same and starts clean.
One explant
A few cells from clean, disease-free mother stock.
Multiplied in sterile culture
Grown on in jars, far from pests and disease.
Thousands, identical and clean
Uniform plants, so one punnet tastes like the next.
For every twenty drops a field drinks, the box uses one.
- Zero pesticidesA sealed climate leaves nothing to spray for.
- Wind, not the gridThe farm runs on its own wind power.
GreenBox's own figures: 95% less water than conventional farming, through closed-loop recirculation; no pesticides; 100% renewable wind energy.

Picked at peak ripeness. In your hands within hours.
We pick by hand when the fruit is ready, not days before. The farm is about an hour from Karachi, so a strawberry reaches you while it still tastes of the plant.

The women behind the box.
GreenBox Farms is led, operated and harvested by women. Every wage we pay lands in a bank account in her own name.
